The Edwards Campus is big! In order to avoid confusion, we suggest you print out the course map for reference when heading to the campus. Race day registration, packet pick-up and restrooms will all be located in the Best Building. The map also provides suggestions for parking.
Race Fee: 5K is $30 per person prior to August 15, $35 August 15 through day of the race. 10K is $40 by August 15, $45 10K through Race Day, Family Fun/Run is $25. Kids' Races are $10 per person for ages 10 and under.
Awards: A plaque will be given to the top overall 5K and 10K male and female finishers. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female 5K finishers in the following categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. All 10K finishers will receive a medal. In addition, all children participating in the Kids' Dash will receive a ribbon.
Packet Pickup: At Garry Gribble's Running Sports at 119th and Quivira in Overland Park on Friday, September 9th from 4pm-7pm or Saturday, September 10th from 10am-12pm. You may also pick up packets the morning of the race at the KU Edwards Campus, but we encourage you to pick them up in advance if at all possible.
Race Day Activities: This will be a fun, family event. The Heatherstones will be playing live music again along with Chris Cakes Pancakes for purchase. The Kona Ice Truck will be providing free shaved ice in a variety of fun flavors. Sister Act Facepainting will be on hand with free face painting. We will also have temporary tattoos, a bouncy house, and the award winning Jayhawk Motorcar! Other vendors will be on hand with more surprises for the kids.
