About BIGGSteps Needham
BIGGSteps Needham will be held on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at Broadmeadow Elementary School located at 120 Broad Meadow Road in Needham, Massachusetts.
Entry Fee: Registration after October 12th and walkup registration on race day will be $30 per runner and $20 per walker. Pre-registered runners will receive t-shirts and sun protection items. Discounts and free registrations are available. Visit the Registration Page for more information.
Schedule of Events: BIGGSteps Needham features a 5K run, 1-mile walk and kids dashes. Walk-up registration and pre-registered runner packet pickup will open at 8 a.m. The 1-mile walk will start at 9:30 a.m. followed by the 5K and kids dashes. The event will conclude with a brief awards ceremony that will end at 11:15 a.m. There will be family-friendly activities throughout the event. For more details see the Event Schedule.
Packet Pickup: Pre-registered runners can pick up their bib numbers and race packets prior to race day at Marathon Sports running store in Wellesley on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-registered runners will receive a 20% off coupon for Marathon Sports.
Race Course: The 5K and 1 Mile race courses start and end in the parking lot of Broadmeadow Elementary School. See the Course Map for details. The course is USA Track and Field certified.
Awards: The Male and Female winners of the 5K will each receive a free SHFT foot pod ($300 value). Details can be found at the SHFT tent on site.
The top three overall male and female 5K finishers will receive plaques. The top three finishers in each age group category shown to the right will receive medals.
New this year: The Team Competition! Put together your fastest team of 5 or more runners (minimum of 2 males and 2 females) to compete for racing and fundraising prizes!
Needham Bank Grand Prix: BIGGSteps is one of four races participating in the Grand Prix sponsored by Needham Bank. Runners participating in three or more of the races are eligible for special prizes. A special awards ceremony for those who complete the series or have won prize money will be held in early December. For more information please visit www.runneedham.com
